‘Live’s Kelly Ripa Jokes She And Mark Consuelos Are Going On A “Nude Cruise” For Their Next Anniversary
A trip — or rather, a strip — out at sea seems like just the way to ring in another year of marriage. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos discussed the “Big Nude Boat”, the 11-day nude cruise recently announced “that’s set to sail from Miami in 2025,” on Live with Kelly and Mark this morning.
“You know, you don’t really need much to pack for this cruise,” Ripa quipped.
After Ripa eventually delved into more of the details behind the experience deemed “Bare-adise” — including its several destinations such as The Bahamas, Puerto Rico and St. Maarten — Consuelos still had some questions.
“My thought is, where would everybody sit?” he asked, to which Ripa noted that they’re “suggesting that you bring a towel for all seating.”
She then shared that “the ship’s specialty restaurants include a large buffet area for nude outdoor dining.”
“Nothing says buffet like nudity,” she joked. “To me, when I think buffet, I think to myself, I hope I get behind a nude man and we can enjoy the fricassee together.”
Consuelos asked what “fricassee” is, which Ripa hilariously didn’t even have the answer to. However, she proceeded to clarify that the nude cruise doesn’t entail “an entirely clothes-free experience.”
“Guests will be required to follow a number of rules. Wearing clothes while inside dining rooms, because there is a sense of formality and propriety, after all. This is a cruise ship, for God’s sake!” she teased.
Consuelos said that “there’s going to be a lot of people on that boat” and that “they will sell out of that cruise for sure.”
Eventually, Ripa replied, “Well, I’m getting us two tickets… I know that you were saying that you wanted to really celebrate our 29th anniversary in style.”
While Consuelos denied ever saying that amid a large round of applause from the studio audience, Ripa continued ragging on her husband and co-host, alleging that he may have even uttered the words “nude cruise” in his sleep.
