Kelly Ripa vs. Jenn Tran

When the first Asian-American Bachelorette appeared on Live in July 2024 on the day of her season’s premiere episode, Kelly laid into Jenn about why she had to go on reality TV to find a man.

“You’re drop dead gorgeous. You could meet anybody, anywhere, at any time. Why, why, why?” Kelly asked the aspiring physician’s assistant, who fired back, “I mean, is Hinge any better?” referring to the dating app.

“No, not Hinge! The office! Medical school! I don’t know!” the host told Joey Graziadei‘s former Bachelor contestant.

Jenn tried to turn the tables on Kelly by correlating how she met husband Mark Consuelos on TV when they starred as love interests on the soap opera All My Children.

“I have a question. Where’d you meet your husband?” the Miami resident asked. Kelly shot back, “At work!” while Jen pressed back, “On TV, no?”

“Those are not the same! We were both professionals. I didn’t marry Mateo Santos. I married Mark Consuelos,” the Philadelphia native fired back, referring to Mark’s character on All My Children.

Kelly circled back to her original point of questioning why Jenn would look for her future husband on a reality TV competition, telling her, “What I’m saying to you is you could meet a nice physician’s assistant.”

Not Remembering Peter Weber

Despite Pilot Pete appearing on Live With Kelly and Ryan, by the time his season’s live finale rolled around in 2020, Kelly couldn’t remember who he was.

As Ryan talked about tucking in to watch Peter’s finale the night before, Kelly interrupted to say, “I gotta be honest … what I remember about him is that he split his head open [on the show].” She then delivered a major diss about the various Bachelor leads over the years, saying, “If you lined up, again forgive me, if you line them all up in a line I would not be able to identify any of them.”

Hannah Brown Gets Defensive

Kelly delivered her statement that The Bachelor “disgusts” her while Bachelorette Hannah was a guest on Live.

“I am very against women fighting over a guy. I don’t believe in it. I think it’s — you know, weird and sets us back. But now, you are in the power position. So, take me through that. How does that work?” Kelly snarked.

Hannah diplomatically said that the show isn’t about pitting women against each other and instead revealed, “Some of my best friends came from the show and were really supportive. When you have a group of 30 people together, there’s going to be people who don’t like each other. That’s just simple facts.”

The former beauty queen added: “It was one of the most empowering things that I ever did because I had to grow as an individual. That is why I decided that I wanted to be the Bachelorette. That’s why I wanted that so bad.”

Arie Luyendyk Jr. Left Traumatized

After Arie dumped original final rose recipient Becca Kufrin for runner up Lauren Burnham after The Bachelor initially finished taping, he became a villain for breaking his original winner’s heart.

By the time Arie and Lauren made it to Live in 2018, Kelly was in full grilling mode. She demanded to know the former race car driver’s “thought process,” before pointedly asking Lauren, “What’s wrong with you?”

Kelly then lit into Arie, asking, “What are you thinking, how did this happen? Were you as shady as I think you are now? This didn’t just happen overnight.” Arie and Lauren later married and had three kids together.

Years later after Kelly’s awkward interview with Jenn Tran, Arie commented in an Us Weekly Instagram post about the exchange, writing about Kelly, “I was always a fan of hers until I was the Bachelor. Felt like I had my back against the wall whenever I was being interviewed by her.”

Dissing Corinne Olympios

While Nick Viall was a guest on Live in 2017, Kelly went over his contestants and had a major red flag come up when she came to Corinne. “So, one girl is 25 years old and still has a nanny. You need to run away! You need to run, OK?”

Once again, Kelly dissed the process of finding love on reality television, telling Nick, who already appeared on two seasons of The Bachelorette, “I think that you need to try to find love outside of TV,” adding, “We used to meet, like, at the club or at work. … Go to the bars!”

Kelly Ripa vs. Andi Dorfman

Kelly couldn’t figure out why Andy wanted to be the season 10 Bachelorette, telling her “I’m looking at you, you are gorgeous. You seem perfectly normal, why are you doing this to yourself?” during a May 2014 appearance on Live With Kelly and Michael.

The former district attorney responded, “25 guys, I don’t think it’s a bad thing,” even though Kelly fired back, “They’re not good enough for you.”

The Philadelphia native then wanted to know why on the first night of the show after meeting The Bachelor for the first time, “everybody is sobbing,” asking “Is it the alcohol?” After Andi, who competed on Juan Pablo Galavis‘ season of The Bachelor said it was because the first night’s filming went into the wee hours of the morning, Kelly told her, “You’re leaving in the daylight, in a gown. It’s like a 25-person walk of shame.”
