Below Deck’s Captain Kerry Needs To Make This Major Change To Help Chef Anthony Succeed

Below Deck’s Captain Kerry Titheradge hasn’t been supporting Chef Anthony Iracane in the way he requires. What needs to change to help him succeed?

Below Deck season 11’s Captain Kerry Titheradge may be trying to help Chef Anthony Iracane to succeed, but how do fans believe he needs to interject if the chef is to remain aboard St. David? Throughout Below Deck season 11, Chef Anthony has been struggling to keep himself organized. His time aboard St. David has been marred by difficult guests and the inability to work through his issues with dyslexia, which have made it tough for Anthony to stay organized in moments of chaos. While Below Deck fans believe Chef Anthony may be fired, how could his job be saved?

“I wish he’d support Anthony more by ensuring that the other crew give him a hand”

According to Below Deck fans on Reddit, there are a few things Captain Kerry could do to protect Chef Anthony’s job. u/DueFig5963 ran a poll asking what was the best option for Chef Anthony, and the results were overwhelming that the chef could use some help in the galley. u/Senjimom54 explained, “While I love Capt Kerry, I wish he’d support Anthony more by ensuring that the other crew give him a hand during service. Once Anthony’s confidence was shaken he didn’t seem to be able to recover.” Many agreed, with u/Natural_Moose_1156 sharing, “Captain is partially at fault.”

Does Below Deck’s Chef Anthony Need Help In The Galley?

Although the chef is capable of cooking everything the charter guests want, there are issues he’s been facing throughout the charter season that aren’t being addressed in the appropriate ways. According to u/flomodoco, it would be easy to create graphics that could help Anthony in the galley. “I was wondering why they haven’t come up with graphics on the preference sheets for the things that clients don’t want,” the user wondered. “He’s dyslexic and can’t quickly read them to refresh his memory, but an image of a fish with an X through it would be easy to glance at.”

While some of the preference sheet information getting put into a more graphic format would be beneficial for the chef, there are things that likely would be more helpful, but aren’t feasible. For example, getting the chef an assistant or sous chef would make things easier on the chef, but wouldn’t be feasible for Below Deck to support. Many felt it would be best for Chef Anthony’s confidence and performance to have someone working with him, but realistically, there wouldn’t be enough room in the galley for two chefs, and the need for another chef isn’t present on St. David.

There has been a lot of talk about the idea of Chef Anthony getting fired on an upcoming episode of Below Deck season 11, especially considering the mid-season trailer of the series showed Captain Kerry reprimanding another crew member. Though the chef may wind up getting fired for the behavior he’s shown throughout the charter season, it’s also possible that the clip in the Below Deck season 11 mid-season trailer was a misdirect. As Chef Anthony’s future hangs in the balance, many Below Deck viewers are interested in seeing him get help rather than be let go.
