Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Conseuelos had some sad news to share with fans on Friday’s episode of LIVE with Kelly and Mark.
On the September 20 episode, Ripa, 53, addressed the audience letting them know that today was their beloved producer Art Moore’s final day on set. She acknowledged the bittersweet nature of the occasion, saying, “Today is a day for celebration, but it’s also deeply emotional for us on the studio floor. We’re here to honor Art Moore’s retirement.”
The TV host continued, “We’re not saying goodbye; we will never truly say goodbye,” she emphasized, while raising a glass of sparkling cider in tribute. Ripa expressed her gratitude for Moore over the years, stating, “You have been the singular most important person to every single person here. As evidenced by the amount of people that you work with each and every day who love, honor, and cherish you and everything you have given to us. You are a giver and we honor you and shower you with our gratitude and love, eternally.”
As Ripa shared a warm hug with Moore, Consuelos, announcer Deja Vu, and producer Michael Gelman joined in, raising their glasses to celebrate his contributions and say goodbye to their friend.
A montage featuring the 79-year-old’s best moments through the years was shared on LIVE‘s official Instagram, prompting emotional responses from fans. “He’ll be missed by us viewers as well 😢 But happy retirement,” said one fan, while another stated, “Oh gosh I will miss his Halloween appearances. Such a good sport. All the best Art Moore ❤️🇨🇦.” A third fan wished him well, saying, “Enjoy retirement……. You are a class act and will be missed❤️”
Moore spent 36 years as the executive in charge of production for LIVE and dedicated a total of 53 years to ABC.
