Kelly Ripa Complains That She’s “At The Bottom” Of Mark Consuelos’ Priorities

Kelly Ripa warmly welcomed her husband and co-host Mark Consuelos back to Live with Kelly and Mark this morning, but still got a jab in at his expense.

For those who didn’t tune in yesterday, Andy Cohen subbed in for Consuelos while he traveled back from Italy, where he was supporting his Campobasso FC soccer club. Consuelos told Live his team is “down to the last two games.”

“We thought we would clinch and do something that hasn’t been done in over a hundred years there, you know, get promoted two years in a row,” he shared, “and we tied. And the team that’s chasing us won. Yeah, so we were up four points. Now we’re up only two points with two games to go.”

After deeming the weekend a “rollercoaster of emotions,” he eventually showed a picture of the same weekend last year, during which his team “had about 150 fans” in the stadium. He then showed a picture from this past weekend, featuring a much more packed stadium.

“Look at that,” he gushed. “I think we had 6,000 people there in the stadium. They’re so excited. It means a lot to a city, to the people, and to a whole region. Football is life.”

Ripa told Consuelos that she’s “so proud” of him, but he replied, “Let’s not get too proud yet.”

Nonetheless, Ripa noted that she knows how hard her husband works and sees his “endless amount” of dedication, but her praise soon took a turn.

“In my next life, I want to be a footballer on a soccer club that my husband owns because… I’ve been trying to get him to look at my blood work from my doctor’s appointment for three months,” she teased.

While Consuelos joked that he’s “looking at somebody else’s blood work,” Ripa continued, “I always say to him, ‘Hey, can you take a look at my numbers because I want to make sure that the good number’s going in the right direction and the bad number’s going in the other. I want all the numbers to be right, but I am not a footballer for his club, so I am at the bottom of the pile!”
