Live with Kelly and Mark

Kelly Ripa complains about her husband, Mark Consuelos, “If I had met him in the first place, we probably wouldn’t be together today.”

Kelly Ripa loves her husband Mark Consuelos, but she’s not the biggest fan of his feet!

While co-hosting Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday, May 13, Ripa, 53, revealed things could have gone much differently in her love life if she had seen Consuelos’ feet first.

The conversation began when the Riverdale alum, 53, shared that his “foot hurts” as the two were talking.

After a bit of playful back and forth, the longtime television host shared a story about her spouse from over the weekend.

“He came to me, was it Saturday morning? He goes, ‘Look at this, look at this foot, now look at this foot.’ Mark is very handsome and I always talk about how handsome you are and how sexy you are, so I go into this with a clean conscience,” Ripa told the audience, per Entertainment Weekly.

“Mark’s feet are a different story. If I had met him feet first, we might not be together today,” she quipped.

Consuelos had no issues finding the humor in his wife’s statements. In fact, he added that Ripa had “beautiful feet.”

“I don’t think my feet are beautiful, but they’re not monstrous!” she replied.

The couple — who share three now-adult children: Michael, 26, Lola, 22, and Joaquin, 21 — have been married for nearly 30 years.

Earlier this month, Ripa and Consuelos celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary, with their show’s social media account showing how she and her husband recently recreated their wedding day photo.

“Cheers to 28!” the Instagram caption read on May 1.

The pair tied the knot in Las Vegas on May 1, 1996 at the Nevada Chapel of The Bells.

According to Consuelos, he knew Ripa was the one.

The couple reflected on their wedding day during an April talk show episode. Consuelos insisted that he and his wife were never on track to become a statistic when they discussed a recent article about one in five adults admitting to having cold feet and nearly running out on their big day.

“I was not stressed out,” Consuelos said on air, later reiterating, “Just so you know, I don’t get cold feet. When I make a decision, I stand by my decision.”

In February, when the couple planned to return to the Chapel of Bells during a week of episodes filmed in Las Vegas, Consuelos told PEOPLE that the venue where they chose to elope was “a very special place” for him and Ripa.

“We always try to make a drive-by when we’re in town, but this time, we’re going to take the viewers inside, where it all happened,” he added of the then-upcoming trip.
