All About Shemar Moore’s Daughter Frankie
The ‘S.W.A.T.’ actor and his girlfriend, Jesiree Dizon, welcomed Frankie in 2023
Shemar Moore has a special baby girl in his life, his daughter, Frankie.
The Criminal Minds alum became a first-time dad when he and his girlfriend, Jesiree Dizon, welcomed their first child together in January 2023.
Moore revealed they were expecting on The Jennifer Hudson Show only two weeks before Frankie’s birth. At the time, the S.W.A.T. star revealed that becoming a father was a milestone his late mother, Marylin Joan Wilson-Moore, looked forward to before she died at age 76 in February 2020.
“All the things I’ve done are so cool, but I’m tired of just doing for me, doing for me, and my mom is smiling up in heaven now; this was her dream,” he said on The Talk in May 2023.
Talking to PEOPLE in April 2024, Moore said that he’s excited to teach Frankie “that she can be anything she wants to be.”
“I don’t want her to get caught up in the hype or the fame of Hollywood,” he said. “I don’t like to call myself famous or a star, but I know that I’m known. I don’t toot my own horn, but I do want her to be proud of her daddy.”
Though she’s young, Frankie’s already inheriting looks and acting abilities from her dad.
“She’s got resting stank face when she’s mad at me. We can’t figure out who the baby looks like, but she clearly has my hairline, and she does the Hondo face,” he explained, referring to his character Sergeant Dan “Hondo” Harrelson on the CBS series.
Here’s everything to know about Shemar Moore’s daughter, Frankie.
She was born in 2023
Frankie Melelina Kapule Moore arrived on Jan. 24, 2023, weighing 7 lbs., 1 oz. and measuring at 20 inches long.
“Shemar Moore and his partner, Jesiree Dizon, are happy to announce the birth of their baby girl. The family is very happy and healthy,” a rep for Moore told PEOPLE.
Moore also announced the personal news on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself looking at his newborn daughter.
“BABY GIRL in da building!!!” he wrote in part. “Already THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!! I’m a Girl Daddy!!!! HOLY S—!!! DREAMS COME TRUE!!”
Ahead of her birth, The Young and the Restless star shared a special Instagram video finding out the sex of their baby surrounded by loved ones. “I’m just so excited about this portion of our life together, and it’s going to be amazing,” Dizon said.
Her due date had a special meaning
Though Frankie arrived two weeks ahead of her anticipated due date, it was still meaningful for another reason for the father-to-be.
“I’m Shemar Moore, 52½ years old. My mother is in heaven, right now it’ll be the three-year anniversary on February 8,” he announced during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. “And on February 8, I’m going to make one of her dreams come true because, in real life, Shemar Moore is about to be a daddy.”
He added, “I’m so excited. I’m sorry she can’t be here. I was worried for a while that it was a ‘that ship has sailed’ kind of thing but God had my back, and things lined up.”
Moore’s mom, Marylin, died on Feb. 8, 2020, at the age of 76. At the time of her death, the actor spoke about his loss in several videos, sharing photos and memories of her. He also revealed that Marylin suffered from heart problems and had previously opened up about her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 1999.
She made her TV debut on The Talk
When Frankie was only 3 months old, Moore made an appearance on The Talk and brought his family along.
“My life has changed. I’ve done so many wonderful things, I’ve been blessed. And life has been grand, and life has been tough, and then you survive through that and now I have the biggest miracle in my life,” he shared with the hosts and audience before Dizon brought their daughter onto the stage.
In addition to complimenting his “little fatty patty” Frankie, he expressed his admiration for Dizon’s parenting skills. “I honestly just follow her lead. She’s so warm, loving. She’s there, she’s in the moment,” Moore added.
She has siblings
Frankie has two older siblings: Dizon welcomed son Kaiden in 2006 during a previous relationship and also shares daughter Charli, born in 2017, with actor Stephen Bishop.
“I must have done something right in my past life to, not just hit the jackpot once, but TWICE,” Dizon captioned an Instagram post celebrating Mother’s Day in 2020. “I cant believe I get to call you both mine.”
Since Frankie joined the family, Dizon has given glimpses of Kaiden and Charli spending time with their little sister. In a series of photos, they were spotted affectionately embracing her.
She spoke her first words about Moore
The actor was over the moon when he heard Frankie attempting to speak, and he was the topic of conversation.
In a snippet uploaded in August 2023, Dizon can be seen holding their daughter on the couch while Moore leans over the infant, asking her to say “da da.” Frankie reaches out for her dad’s face before saying “da da,” causing her parents to erupt with joy.
“I’m officially a DA DA!!! My life is complete!! Friends, family, Jesiree, and Daddy’s lil Miracle… Frankie Muthaf***n Moore… I love you Jesiree… thank you!!! I love you all!!!!! 💯❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” he captioned the heartfelt video on Instagram.
In April 2024, Moore told PEOPLE that Frankie has already hit another milestone: walking.
“She waited for me to get off of work. I get the announcement that S.W.A.T. is coming back for season 8 and 22 episodes and literally the next day, she walked 10 steps,” he said. “Now she’s waddling all over the house.”
She was a skeleton for her first Halloween
In October 2023, Frankie celebrated her first Halloween dressed as a skeleton. Her parents donned black outfits and masks, while the then-9-month-old wore a black skeleton onesie. Charli also joined them dressed as Batgirl in a pink dress and mask.
She travels often with her parents
Moore and Dizon enjoy taking their daughter everywhere.
In March 2024, Frankie traveled to Santa Barbara, California, with her parents for a wedding.
“I might be biased, but I’m pretty sure I had THE BEST wedding dates,” Dizon wrote on Instagram alongside photos of the trio.
