Manny & Sharon Can Be The Biggest Impediment To Bode & Gabriela’s Romance

Fire Country Season 3's Reason For Keeping Bode & Gabriela Is Worse Than Prison And Diego

Sharon did not seem convinced by Manny’s appraisal of what Bode and Gabriela’s relationship could cause in Fire Country season 3, episode 1, but that does not mean that seeing them in action couldn’t change her mind. Indeed, between her supposed blindness to Gabriela and Bode’s feelings for each other and the pressure to make sure Bode’s parole went smoothly, Sharon could easily be convinced to do Manny’s bidding, especially if they were to convict Manny, as that would make his request the last before going to jail, making it imperative for her to keep her word to him.

Fire Country' Season 3 Premiere Explained: Bode, Gabriela, and Diego Love Triangle (Exclusive)

Manny and Sharon’s plan could potentially be much worse than the impediments to Bode and Gabriela’s relationship of Fire Country seasons 1 and 2. Indeed, Bode being incarcerated was supposed to stop them from starting a relationship, but Bode and Gabriela still did. Similarly, Gabriela being engaged to Diego only temporarily stopped her from thinking about Bode. However, Manny and Sharon working against them to preserve Gabriela’s future and Bode’s parole would be more difficult for them to oppose, especially if they were without good enough reasons, as it would be done in Bode and Gabriela’s interests.

Why It’s Best To Keep Bode & Gabriela Separated In Fire Country (For Now)

Fire Country Season 3 Has More Interesting Storylines

Stephanie Arcila as Gabriela Perez and Max Thieriot as Bode Leone in Fire Country season 3 episode 1-1

Gabriela and Bode’s history saw them fight so much to be romantically entangled, and their having the chance to be together for the first time in Fire Country season 3 makes their story all the more timely. However, while it could be difficult to keep Bode and Gabriela apart now that they know about each other’s feelings, separating them could still work out. Indeed, although being introduced hastily, Manny’s preoccupation with Bode and Gabriela could be reasonable, especially because Bode had just been released and Gabriela had just started her new career.

Being kept apart could work in [Bode and Gabriela’s] favor, as a focus on other storylines could make it more likely for their love to be explored more thoroughly later on.

A better reason to keep Bode and Gabriela apart would have nothing to do with them, though. Indeed, with Jake and Gen having to face Rick’s intrusion, Bode’s path to become a firefighter, and even Manny’s freedom being threatened, Fire Country season 3 has more interesting storylines than Bode and Gabriela’s usual Will They/Won’t They. Being kept apart could work in their favor, as a focus on other storylines could make it more likely for their love to be explored more thoroughly later on, letting Fire Country season 3 be initially about the storylines already set up in season 2.
