Eagle-eyed fans noticed a key detail about whether she’s married ahead of the October 18 premiere.
Um, Fire Country … did you just accidentally drop a telling clue about our favorite couple ahead of season 3?
The latest installment of the hit CBS drama hits our screens on Friday, October 18 at 9 p.m. ET, and the show is gearing up for a fiery season with behind-the-scenes looks on Instagram. One particular video features Stephanie Arcila (who portrays Gabriela Perez) dressed in her Cal Fire work uniform, telling a cheesy pick-up line to the camera. The video also inferred Fire Country has a number of steamy scenes, which the show’s social team made sure to tease in a hilariously cheeky caption.
#FireCountry has a ton of those btw … not that anyone was asking. 🥵,” it read alongside the clip posted on August 29.
While the snippet didn’t actually give away any storylines coming up in Fire Country season 3, one key prop Stephanie wasn’t wearing was caught by eagle-eyed fans. Folks noticed she wasn’t wearing her character’s engagement ring from her fiancé Diego Moreno (Rafael de la Fuente), which made them ask some key questions in the comments.
“I don’t see a ring 😀,” one person wrote. “SHE DOESN’T HAVE HER RING ON!!!!!!” another exclaimed. “The character has no wedding ring, which means she didn’t get married in the last season’s finale,” a different viewer added.
While it’s unclear what’s going on with Gabriela, we do know that she and Diego were set to be wed in the Fire Country season 2 finale. Given how the final episode ended on a cliffhanger, it’s likely we’ll find out what happened with her wedding sometime in season 3. And if she didn’t actually end up saying “I do” in the last episode … well, let’s just hope she can get back together with Bode Leone (Max Thieriot), who she dated back in season 1.
As for what fans can expect from Fire Country season 3, we know Bode is currently trying to figure out life away from prison and what it means for him as a firefighter. Couple that with Jared Padalecki joining the show in a recurring role, and it’s sure to be one blazing adventure.
