‘Fire Country’ Fans, See Max Thieriot’s Romantic Declaration to His Wife

Max Thieriot isn’t one to always show off his life away from being on camera, but he’s getting personal to document an important milestone with someone special in his life.

The Fire Country star is happily married to his wife Lexi Murphy, and the couple celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary on June 1. To commemorate the occasion, Max went on his Instagram stories to showcase how much he adores having Lexi in his life with a candid photo from their 2013 wedding and a recent one of them dancing backstage at a music festival. What’s more, Max used the moment to pour his heart out in a romantic tribute to Lexi.

“11 years ago today, I danced with an angel ❤️😍,” he emotionally captioned the then-and-now moments. “Thanks for always making my heart dance 😘.”

As fans may know, the Bates Motel alum first met Lexi in 2005, when they were on separate vacations in the Caribbean with their respective families. The two have been inseparable since meeting as teenagers. They even attended junior prom together, which Max disclosed in a throwback Instagram back in June 2016. The duo later wed and welcomed sons Beaux (in 2015) and Maximus (in 2018).

As the married duo come up on two decades of being together, Max loves to bring Lexi along with him to important events in his career. The couple cozied up for a rare date night at the 2024 CMT Awards in early April, and when Max appeared on The Talk in early May, he disclosed how Lexi has been there through it all.

“I’m not quite sure what she saw in me,” he joked when asked about meeting at 15 years old. “I was like, full skater bod and had some bleached blonde hair back then… I don’t know if she knew I was the one, but I knew she was the one.”

What’s more, it seems like Max has an idea of how he and Lexi will keep the romance alive. “You know, we’ve kicked around the idea of maybe our 20-year [anniversary], of redoing our wedding, but not the wedding — just the party part,” he added on the air. “So, invite all the people who came and we just throw a big party.”

Congrats, Max and Lexi!
