Chrisley Knows Best: Grayson In Legal Trouble Over 2022 Car Crash — Getting Sued!!

Savannah Chrisley is getting real about the toll her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley’s legal trouble have had on brother Grayson Chrisley.

On Tuesday’s episode of her Unlocked podcast, Savannah, 26, recalled attending her parents’ April 19 appeal hearing with her 17-year-old brother, who she currently has custody of. She said being in the courtroom was “tough” for both of them.

“Poor Gray,” she said. “Grayson wanted to be there so badly. I gave him the option of coming because I did not want to force something that maybe he wasn’t ready for, and he insisted he be there.”

Savannah said although Grayson wanted to attend the hearing, he “struggled after the fact” because the circumstances were traumatizing for him.

“I mean, he had a full-blown panic attack because of the PTSD revolving around being in a courtroom — it’s really really tough,” she said, before adding, “It’s really tough for me.”

The Chrisley Knows Best alum said she tries to read self-help books and uplifting quotes to encourage her to keep moving forward. She said in this moment with her brother and parents, she remembered a sentiment about working through hard times.

“We all look at a breakdown as such a negative thing because it has such a negative connotation around it,” she explained. “If you break down, you’re weak. Or if you break down, you’re not prepared. If you break down, you deserve it. But really, a breakdown is a necessity.”

As for her parents, Savannah revealed they also “listened in” during arguments.

“Now they’re back just sitting there and hoping for change, hoping for something different, hoping for a different outcome,” Savannah said.
In November 2022, Todd, 55, and Julie, 51, were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison after being found guilty of fraud and tax evasion. The couple have denied all charges. They began the appeal process hoping to reverse their imprisonment, but still reported to prison in January 2023.

Todd is serving his time at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida and Julie remains at Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky.

In their absence, Savannah has become the legal guardian to her younger siblings Grayson and Chloe, 11. (Chloe is the biological daughter of Savannah’s estranged brother Kyle Chrisley but Todd and Julie legally adopted her in 2017.)

Just days before the hearing, Grayson attended his senior prom. He took to Instagram to share photos of the momentous occasion.
