Savannah Chrisley tearfully apologized to her younger brother Grayson for not being able to protect him from legal trouble over a 2022 car accident.

It seems like the Chrisleys are never out of trouble. Todd and Julie from Chrisley Knows Best are in prison. But they are still fighting many legal battles. They had to prepare for their oral appeal hearing. But that wasn’t the only legal fight they had to face.

Grayson is truly Todd’s son, as the teen is already in trouble with the law. He had been in a car crash in 2022. And it looks like the same is coming back to bite him in the ass. Someone involved in the crash has decided to sue the star.

And now, even their youngest son is in trouble, but for different reasons. It turns out someone has sued Grayson Chrisley for his 2022 car crash. The accident occurred a few weeks before Todd and Julie went to prison.

RadarOnline.com revealed that a man named Patrick Rykwalder had sued Julie, Todd, and their children, Grayson and Savannah. He revealed he was driving on the Tennessee Interstate 65 in his 2020 Dodge Ram on November 12, 2022. Patrick had stopped on the Interstate as the traffic in front of him also stopped. It was around 5:15 pm when Grayson drove a 2020 Ford 5150 pickup truck opposite Patrick.

Patrick said Grayson was driving Todd and Julie’s car with their permission. Then, “suddenly and without warning,” Grayson “slammed” his car into Patrick’s rear-end at high speed. Patrick accused Grayson of being a “distracted driver.” He also accused the teen of “not paying attention to the roadways.” Patrick added that Grayson “failed to act appropriately” and follow the rules. These rules included maintaining a minimum “safe operating distance from other motor vehicles” and not being distracted.

According to Patrick, Grayson was responsible for the accident. He also claims that the accident caused him severe injuries. Patrick is now suing the Chrisley Knows Best stars for $25k to 750k and for punitive damages. He is also suing Savannah, as she is Grayson’s legal guardian. Todd and Julie have denied Patrick’s allegations.

However, he might have to jog his memory soon. A person involved in the crash has sued him for $25k to $750k. He has accused Grayson of being responsible for the car accident, which caused him severe injuries.

Savannah also reflected on how she faces struggles despite going to therapy to help her navigate her family’s legal troubles.

“I have done so much therapy and I thought like, ‘Okay, I’m okay,’” she explained. “When in reality, I’m still struggling with it. And I think that’s just a lesson to myself — and hopefully that I can teach others — is just because you go through something hard, and you do therapy and you talk about it, it doesn’t mean that you have to be healed. It doesn’t mean that you have to forget about it. It doesn’t mean that you just have to move forward and ignore your hurt because I think that’s how I’ve lived.”

She added: “That’s kind of how I lived my whole life. It’s just like I have to move forward. I have to be successful. I have to prove to people certain things.”

Savannah shared that she had a supportive group around her for the difficult day in court, saying, “I had all my friends and all the people I love and family beside me [and] that just made me so grateful for that moment because at the end of the day, family doesn’t have to be blood and I know so many people are listening that have deep-rooted family issues or strains and relationships and you feel an immense level of loss and so many different things.”

“But, you have to figure out how to turn that into something good,” she concluded. “And what I’ve realized is sure, certain family members may suck and I don’t have to consider them family. But I do know that God puts people in my life to replace those people. God has put great friends in my life that are not friends, their family and that’s what I’m grateful for. So family isn’t blood, family is what you make it and the people that showed up for me in court, I will never forget.”
