Fraser Olender and Chef Nick Tatlock Are Already at Odds: “What a Disaster”
Is there ever enough crew drama in the world of Below Deck? Actually don’t answer that — there never is! And a preview of Season 11, Episode 14 (set to air Monday, April 6) shows we may have a new pair of disagreeing coworkers to contend with: Chef Nick Tatlock and Chief Stew Fraser Olender.
Fraser Olender Thinks Chef Nick Tatlock’s Plating Skills Could Use Some Work
“How do I not rudely say, ‘Are you going to garnish the plate?'” Fraser asks Paris Field in the clip, a preview of Monday’s all-new episode. And while the stewardess does try to hint at adding more pizzazz to the guests’ eggs benedict, the food professional doesn’t take the bait. “[The primary] said no oil,” he answers when asked about adding a little drizzle.
In conversation with Paris, Fraser retaliates that there are more options than an oil drizzle for garnish: tomatoes or little berries would also make the cut.
“Oh my God, what a disaster,” says the chief stew under his breath.
Even so, the guests are happy enough to take some photos of their food — and it looks quite lovely in their lenses.
Chef Nick Tatlock Joined Below Deck Halfway Through Season 11
We first saw Chef Nick in action during Episode 13, when he was brought on board for a first charter full of… food influencers. His first order of business was to construct some octopus nachos, winning him major points with the guests even though Captain Kerry Titheradge wasn’t entirely pleased with the meal. Then, he put out a feast of the seven fishes dinner for a Christmas-themed party that stole the show.
“I’ve been a chef for 22 years. I think I lost my mind a long time ago. Maybe, I talk to myself too much, I have a few little ticks and go a little bit loopy sometimes, but I’m harmless crazy,” he shares in the episode. “You know, I’m not about to murder anyone.”
Chef Nick replaced Anthony Iracane, whose “heartbreaking” departure was showcased in Episode 12.
Who is Chef Nick Tatlock?
According to his official BravoTV.com bio, Nick has been in the yachting industry for 10 years and is already a fan of the show. When he’s not on charter, he likes to “spend time with family, visit Nicaragua and live in Palma.”
