Great news: Aesha Scott is returning to Below Deck Down Under
Below Deck Down Under may not have been Aesha Scott’s first home, but after returning to her roots with Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, will she ever go back to the Australian iteration of the series? Aesha’s Below Deck journey began with her working as a Stew beneath Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier during Below Deck Mediterranean season 4, but she didn’t want to stop there. Continuing to appear on Below Deck Med in the following season, Aesha knew that she wanted to move up in the industry after two seasons as a Stew on one of Captain Sandy Yawn’s vessels.
Aesha left Below Deck for a short stretch of time, but when she returned to the franchise, she wasn’t working beneath Captain Sandy anymore. Instead, Aesha began working aboard Captain Jason Chambers’ vessel on Below Deck Down Under season 1. Now a Chief Stew in her own right, Aesha was able to cut her teeth on the charters and get a sense for what skills she needed as a Chief Stew within the franchise. After two seasons on Below Deck Down Under, Aesha took some time away again and then returned to Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 as Chief Stew.
Aesha Became A Chief Stew On Below Deck Down Under
She Worked Her Way Up
During Aesha’s initial stretch of Below Deck Mediterranean, it was clear that she wanted to move up in her career as a yachtie, so seeing her on Below Deck Down Under was exciting. Aesha got the opportunity to work as a Chief Stew with Captain Jason, who she meshed well with during their time aboard both Thalassa and Northern Sun. Aesha’s relationship with Captain Jason was great, as the pair were able to work together in a professional way that allowed for quick, clear communication, and in the appropriate moments, a lot of humor.
Aesha dealt with some of the most difficult moments of her career to date on Below Deck Down Under season 2, but got the opportunity to grow from the difficulties. When one of the exterior crew members was sexually inappropriate with one of Aesha’s Stews, Margot Sisson, she sprung into action and ensured that it was handled swiftly, professionally, and matter-of-factly. Aesha was able to hone her skills as a Chief Stew on the Australian spin-off series.
Below Deck Med Season 9 Has Been Tough On Aesha
Her Managerial Skills Have Been Tested
While Aesha’s moved from spin-off to spin-off in the past, her time on Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 hasn’t been easy. She’s been open about the fact that managerially, this has been one of the hardest charter seasons of her career. While Aesha has been dealing with the stress gracefully, she’s been working harder than ever to deal with an interior team that’s down a member, and two Stews who have been feuding throughout the season. While Bri Muller and Ellie Dubaich have been listening to Aesha’s orders, it’s been tough to pick up the slack throughout the charter season.
Could Aesha Return To Below Deck Down Under In The Future?
She Hopes To Keep Working With The Show
Although Aesha has been having a tough time on Below Deck Mediterranean, it seems more likely that she’ll stay with the Captain Sandy helmed vessel than move into her old role on BDDU. While it’s been reported that Below Deck Down Under season 3 won’t feature Aesha, it’s possible that in the future, she could return, Aesha appears to want to be on one of the bigger Below Deck showsrn to the series. Right now, as she plans for her future with her fiance Scott Dobson. In the coming years, however, Aesha could go back to Below Deck Down Under.
