When Bravo & Cocktails originally posted the news, a follower responded to the story saying, “Aesha just left a few days ago for a project she said will take her away a while – hope it’s this!” Although Aesha did not specifically say what she was doing, the fact that there is filming in Barcelona is a major clue.
Barcelona happens to be in the area where Below Deck Mediterranean would ideally film, and Aesha has been taken away on a project where she will be unable to interact on social media for a while. There have been a lot of concerns that the empathetic, if not often frustrating, leader Captain Sandy Yawn may not be returning for another season due to how bad Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 has been.

The producers are important to each show they work on, but the show needs to feel natural in order to be entertaining. Even though Below Deck is facing some backlash now, there is no doubt it is still a beloved show.
