Aesha Scott Likes Captain Sandy Yawn More Than Captain Jason Chambers — That Might Be Why She Doesn’t Want to Return for Below Deck Down Under Season 3
Below Deck Mediterranean star Aesha Scott is back working with Captain Sandy Yawn, and it’s obvious that she prefers Captain Sandy over her previous Captain, Below Deck Down Under’s Jason Chambers. Throughout Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, Aesha has made it clear that she’s happy to be back on the series as the Chief Stew. Working with Captain Sandy, who was the captain she first worked beneath during her time on the franchise, Aesha feels like things have come full circle as she’s working with Stews of her own aboard a superyacht with Sandy at the helm of the ship.
While Aesha worked for Captain Sandy first, her time as a Chief Stew began while working with Captain Jason on Below Deck Down Under. Though Aesha had her own sense of what it meant to be the lead of the interior department, the yachtie was able to cut her teeth on the experiences she had during her time on Below Deck Down Under. Working with Captain Jason was exciting for Aesha, as she got along well with the captain and had some major experiences in those charter seasons. Now that she’s back to Below Deck Med, Aesha’s preferences are obvious.

She Began With Captain Sandy
Aesha’s first foray into the Below Deck franchise was with Captain Sandy on Below Deck Mediterranean season 4, where she worked as Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier’s Second Stew. While Aesha was new to Below Deck, she wasn’t new to the industry and was able to hold her own. After Hannah and Captain Sandy’s feud heated up on Below Deck Mediterranean season 5, Aesha was called in to take over as the Second Stew while Christine “Bugsy” Drake stepped up into the Chief Stew role. Aesha enjoyed and worked well with Captain Sandy’s leadership throughout her time on the show.
