Below Deck star Kate Chastain is making a surprise return to season two of The Traitors US.
Following the season premiere last Friday, a trailer for the upcoming episodes was released via People, revealing that the reality star would be returning alongside fellow season one contestant Dr. Will Kirby for a second shot at the $250,000 prize.
“I think you missed me,” Kate says in the clip, before getting straight to business and asking her fellow contestants at the roundtable: “Tell me everything, who do we hate?”
Kate took part in the debut season of the Peacock series (which uses the same format and location as the UK version), being banished in the season finale last year.
Fans will be able to see Kate make her return during the January 25 episode.
Speaking about her return, she told People that she never expected to be invited back to the show but couldn’t say no to the opportunity.
“What makes my return to The Traitors so exciting is that no one saw it coming, myself included,” Kate said, revealing that part of her reason for returning was due to the cast being “stacked with so many big, fun personalities”.
She added: “And let’s face it: when Alan Cumming invites you back to his castle, you go!”
Hosted by Cumming, season two of The Traitors US premiered on January 12 and saw Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and former Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow among the celebrity line-up.
The second series has kicked off in a dramatic fashion, with RuPaul’s Drag Race star Peppermint, Michael Jordan’s son Marcus Jordan, The Real World: Key West’s Johnny ‘Bananas’ Devenanzio and Dancing with the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy being the first contestants to exit the competition.
