Ben Willoughby – NOT RETURNING
Speaking of Ben Willloughby, he is NOT set to return for season 12, and there appears to be some bad blood between him and Captain Kerry.
Earlier this year, he took to Instagram to respond to some statements Captain Kerry made about him in an interview, where he said, “Ben wasn’t my first choice to be in that position, but he does know the boat well. He’s very good at his job, but he definitely needs to stay focused and understand what the chain of command means.”
“He knew the boat well. I didn’t know the boat,” Captain Kerry added about Ben. “I used to live by a mantra that you can teach a job, but not a personality. And I think if you can treat someone differently, maybe they might not be the ideal personality for the job. But at the time, I needed the right skillset for the job, and that’s what he had.”
In response, Ben shared on Instagram, “It is very unfortunate that Captain Kerry decided to speak out regarding my role as Bosun on this current season of Below Deck and eluding that I ‘may not make the whole season’ but everyone will see as the episodes comes out. With all due respect to Captain Kerry, I’m disappointed that he appears to be insinuating a false claim on my work ethic and career, which could gravely damage my reputation and character in an industry that I have worked hard in and grown in for 5+ years now.”
Kerry also reportedly “liked” a tweet back in April that said Ben was not returning for the new season.
Ben first joined the show in season ten, and returned for season 11.

Jared Woodin – NOT RETURNING
Jared Woodin joined the crew as the Bosun in season 11, but he was let go in episode seven for a few reasons, including not knowing his distances, being ill-equipped to be a Bosun on a mega-yacht and his behavior during crew nights out.
Nick Tatlock – NOT RETURNING
Nick Tatlock joined the crew of the St David as the new chef in episode 12 last season, following Anthony‘s firing. He does not appear to be returning for season 12.
