The announcement that Below Deck season 12 filming has begun with the return of two major cast members is exciting news as the season 11 cast continues to showcase the perfect balance of drama and entertainment. Below Deck season 11 has been quite eventful with the firing of Chef Anthony Iracane, the arrival of Dylan Pierre De Villiers, and rumors of special treatment for Ben Willoughby and Marie “Sunny” Marquis. Despite all the drama, the entertainment value was been extremely high.
Fans took to Reddit to speculate about the Below Deck season 12 cast after the St. David was spotted in St. Maarten recently.
A new fan video posted on Reddit by posted by svCatchinRays2 revealed the St. David yacht passing through the Simpson Bay Bridge in St. Maarten on April 28, 2024. The video showed the crew working on the boat while a fan called out the names of Captain Kerry and Fraser Olender, who both acknowledged the fan’s greeting with a wave. Although the return of both Captain Kerry and Fraser has now been confirmed for Below Deck season 12, it remains unclear who else will join the crew.

Some Reddit users speculated that Sunny might be returning based on a hat she’s been seen wearing during Below Deck season 11, with Reddit user Brilliant-Questions92 saying, “I think that’s Sunny at the front of the boat. That hat looks like the one she’s using this season.” Even though there’s been no confirmation on who may be join the cast for Below Deck season 12, there are some faces that fans are hoping to see and others they can do without.

Ben Willoughby’s Causing Too Much Drama In Below Deck Season 11
With so much speculation over which faces are making a return for Below Deck season 12, there are quite a few fans who are hoping that Ben Willoughby will not be one of those returning faces. Throughout Below Deck season 11, Ben Willougby has found himself stirring up drama, even with his promotion from Lead Deckhand to Bosun. After inserting himself into the drama between Cat Baugh and Barbie Pascual and his boatmance drama with Sunny, Ben has left a sour taste in the mouths of some fans.
Reddit user Creatrixpdx commented, “Wishful thinking Kyle is on the left side in the back. No Ben sightings so at least there’s that. Doesn’t mean production didn’t have him on earlier or he swoops in later as a ‘surprise.'” User shenelby commented, “I would really hope Ben’s not on the boat with how much drama he has been causing with Capt online lol. That awkward tension would be high.” It’s safe to say that Ben isn’t a face many fans wish to see back on their screens, which is not surprising considering the drama he’s caused on and off screen.
