Below Deck Season 11’s Barbie Pascual Is Changing (Is Kyle Stillie To Blame?)
Below Deck season 11’s Barbie Pascual is different in recent episodes. Is her boatmance with Kyle Stillie to blame for the changes in her personality?
Below Deck season 11’s Barbie Pasucal may have decided to stay aboard St. David for the rest of the charter season, but is her boatmance with Kyle Stillie to blame for the changes in her? Throughout Below Deck season 11, Barbie has dealt with ther fair share of drama aboard St. David, but her romantic life hasn’t been a true part of the equation until the most recent episodes of the season. Earlier in the charter, Barbie dealt with issues between herself and former Stew Cat Baugh, which stemmed in to some serious issues with her Chief Stew Fraser Olender.
Barbie’s drama throughout Below Deck season 11 wans’t unwarranted, though it caused her bigger problems than were necessary as she moved through the sason. Early on, Barbie struggled in her working relationship with Cat, as both women seemed to struggle with control issues on the opposite end of the spectrum. While Barbie was able to work through her problems abroad St. David, the personality clash she faced with Fraser was tough to overcome. Thankfully, the last weeks of the Below Deck season 11 charter pushed Barbie toward Kyle, who she’d been feeling attracted toward for the charter’s duration thus far.
Barbie Has Been Firm In Her Beliefs Since The Beginning Of The Season
Throughout Below Deck season 11, Barbie has stayed true to her beliefs in nearly every facet of her work. Early on in the season, when she was dealing with issues between herself and Cat, Barbie worked hard to instill her work ethic unto Cat when she noticed the stew wasn’t necessarily working at the same speed or capacity she had. Barbie was also steadfast in her beliefs with Fraser when problems cropped up between them. Though she was having a hard time seeing eye-to-eye with Fraser, Barbie was easily able to assert herself and explain where she was coming from.
In the later episodes of Below Deck season 11, it’s become clear that Barbie has some romantic feelings for Kyle, who she’d originally written off at the beginning of the season as someone she wasn’t sure was even really her type. She explained early on in the season that boatmances weren’t for her, sharing that she’d promised her father she wouldn’t do anything unsavory on Below Deck. In the most recent episode of Below Deck, Barbie’s attraction to Kyle has grown and she’s getting far more flirty with the deckhand than she appeared comfortable with in earlier charter season moments.
Barbie’s Attraction To Kyle Has Been Growing All Season
While Barbie has been working hard to keep herself focused on the job, there have been moments she’s wavered from her duties as a stew this charter season. Earlier in the season, Barbie found herself interested in Jared Woodin, the St. David’s former Bosun. Though Jared seemed like a viable option early on, it became clear after she experienced more of his day-to-day behavior that Barbie wasn’t actually interested in him. Jared ultimately was fired from the St. David, and Barbie’s focus became singular as she paid more attention to the connection she was feeling with Kyle over anything else.
Kyle Has Waited To See If Something Blossomed With Barbie
Although Barbie originally had her sights set on someone else, Jared’s time aboard St. David was short-lived and she eventually began to express interest in him. Kyle didn’t appear to have his eye on anyone else throughout the charter season. Throughout Below Deck season 11, Kyle has been keeping a close watch on Barbie in the hopes that their connection would become stronger. Growing a friendship with the stew, Kyle has been able to be there for Barbie as the drama has gone down on Below Deck season 11. The pair have gotten closer as the charter season has continued.

In the most recent episode of Below Deck, it became clear that the attraction between Kyle and Barbie is mutual, with the pair flirting outwardly during the charter and finding themselves bunking together after the guests had departed from St. David. While the pair weren’t overt about their attraction to each other, it became clear with how close they were getting. Both admitted in interview segments that they found each other attractive, and though they were excited for the opportunity to take their relationship further, Barbie was nervous she’d be compromising her beliefs doing something further with Below Deck’s Kyle.
