Fire Country puts in a lot of work to make their cast look nearly unrecognizable on the show.
The CBS series, which premiered in 2022, follows inmate Bode (Max Thieriot) as he gets a chance to shorten his prison sentence by volunteering for the California Conservation Camp Program. Bode gets assigned to his hometown where he reconnects with his family, former friends and continues to make attempts to redeem himself.
Creator and star Thieriot previously reflected on the effort he put into the show, telling Collider in January 2022, “It’s definitely really rewarding. This has been my baby for the last three years, so it’s exciting to finally see it out in the world. But as rewarding as it is — and no matter how much I’m enjoying all of these moments with all of these people that I’m getting to celebrate this with — it’s also a lot of work. I’m certainly doing more work now than ever.”
Thieriot wanted to leave Fire Country viewers with an important message.
“The biggest thing that I want and hope to achieve with this series is not only to shine the light on firefighters for being the heroes that they are, but also just everything that they go through as humans,” he continued. “It’s important to realize that even though Superman wears a cape, when he takes that cape off, there’s a man underneath it, and it’s important to peel back those layers too.”

Max Thieriot
Before being the star of Fire Country, Thieriot made his acting debut in 2004’s Catch That Kid. He has since appeared in movies The Pacifier, Nancy Drew, Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, Jumper, Chloe, My Soul to Take and House at the End of the Street.
On the small screen, Thieriot has appeared in — and directed — projects such as Bates Motel and SEAL Team.
Thieriot got engaged to Alexis Murphy in 2012 after seven years of dating. The couple, who got married in 2013, share two sons.
Kevin Alejandro
In addition to portraying Manny Perez, Alejandro is known for appearing on Southland, Parenthood, Ugly Betty, Weeds, True Blood, Arrow, Arcane and Lucifer. Alejandro has also scored roles in movies Red State, Medeas, The Lost Husband and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe.
The director has been married to Leslie de Jesus since 2004, with whom he shares one child.
Jordan Calloway
Calloway got into acting as a child when he scored the role of Zach on Nickelodeon’s series Unfabulous. He continued to appear on the small screen in projects such as ER, Freakish, Riverdale and Black Lighting.
Calloway currently plays Bode’s childhood friend and Cal Fire firefighter Jake on Fire Country.
Stephanie Arcila
For two seasons, Arcila has kept Us invested as Gabriela found her true calling as part of Cal Fire. Arcila previously booked roles in movies such as Here and Now, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels and Don’t Breathe 2.
Jules Latimer
On screen, Latimer has brought Eve to life on Fire Country. Latimer has previously appeared in only one other TV show: Guilty Party. She has also appeared in the movie Rustin.
Diane Farr
Before delivering an emotional performance as Sharon, Farr starred on TV shows including Roswell, Private Practice, Chance, Splitting Up Together, The Good Doctor and Charmed. She also played firefighter Laura Miles in Rescue Me.
Farr was married to Seung Yong Chung from 2006 to 2020. The pair share son Beckett (born in 2007) and twin daughters (born in 2008).
Billy Burke
Viewers are familiar with Burke’s extensive filmography especially his role as Charlie Swan in the Twilight franchise. Burke, who plays Vince, starred in Drive Angry, Red Riding Hood, Highland Park, Breaking In, Lights Out and Batman: The Long Halloween.
His TV roles include 24, My Boys, The Closer, Rizzoli & Isles, Revolution, Major Crimes, Zoo, 9-1-1: Lone Star and Maid.
Burke was married to Pollyanna Rose from 2008 to 2017. They share daughter Bluesy.
W. Tré Davis
It didn’t take long for Us to root for Freddie’s charges to be overturned so he could reunite with his family. Off screen, Davis has continued to showcase his acting chops on Orange Is the New Black, Shades of Blue, Valor, With Love, S.W.A.T. and Chicago P.D.
